The Resort Offerings
Playa Viva design and spaces are built based on social architecture. There are private rooms and common areas where people can get to know each other while they stay. This is also a very kid and family friendly resort. There is a saline pool, yoga, cooking workshops available, and massage therapy. Some of the latest workshops include: a Spanish Immersion program, Body Cleanse Class, Eating for your Body Type class with cooking demo and yoga, and a Sustainable Conflict Management Class.

Organic breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are served in a common dining area at a family style long dinner table and food is served buffet style. Aguas Frescas is available 24/7 along with fresh fruit. The chef has prepared all kinds of special diets ranging from vegan to gluten free. Almost any diet is possible.

Guests are encouraged to get involved with giving back to the local community and they can do this by seeking advice from the Community Development Director. Some of the local projects in which the guests have participated include a local organic CSA, a school program called 'Pack With a Purpose', and an Earth Day river and beach clean up. Activities include: whale and dolphin watching, releasing turtles and collecting eggs, hiking with field guides, horseback riding, arts and crafts, yoga classes, and general resort excursions such as snorkeling, fishing, and scuba diving.
